The classic smokey eye never goes out of style and suits everyone. Then, sweep the brush in soft, broad strokes across your lid at the places where the different shades of eyeshadows meet. For more of a cool-toned, brown smokey eye, opt for shades of brown that have a taupe or grey undertone to them. You can use a bold black liquid liner for a dramatic look or, for a softer look, a deep brown pencil is also a great match. Take another very small, soft brush and gently blend the two eyeshadow liner colors together under your lashline.
With a black eyeliner pencil, color your eyelid leaving a gap at the center, as seen in the image. I've picked up a smaller, round eyeshadow brush for this shade, because I don't want this color in as much area as the previous colors.
